Winter Gear...
This is based on when I had to deal with winters
in North Idaho/Eastern Washington. No winter where
I live now.
Helmet: Arai full face.
Jacket: Wool lined water buffalo hide with an
electric vest under.
Pants: wool with electric liner
Footwear: Arctic weight wool with polypropelene
liner socks, generally worn in leather cowboy
boots.
If you deal with snowy roads, you can still ride.
You can buy ice racing tires(studded) that fit the
Savage. Loads of fun...Don't recommend it, and I
have the scar below my chin where a clutch lever
punched through behind my teeth to prove it.
The clothes I listed were generally good for about
3-4 hours at 50 mph.
Hope this helps.
